Silo Truck
Delivery of the material in a silo truck is recommended for filling new filter units and for refilling larger material quantities into several filters as well as for temporary storage of large quantities in a storage container. Freight costs are always calculated for at least 20 t, independent from a possible lower load. For economic reasons it is recommended to order full silo trucks if possible. Thus, a sufficient storage should be available when planning a silo. Our specialised carriers only use equipement that fully meets food law requirements. No silo truck will be loaded without cleaning confirmation. Before a delivery vehicle leaves our plants, the vehicle is sealed by the dispatch department. This allows the customer to check if the goods were received in good condition. Each vehicle contains a reference sample.

Height when tilted: approx. 16 m
Turning circle: approx. 30 m
Length of hose on board: 20 m (Longer hoses can be offered on request. The conveyance distances should be as short as possible as the mechanic load on the filter material rises with increasing hose length.)
Hose connections: Type B and C
Unloading time: 1.5 - 2 hours
Access roads have to be suitable for 40-ton lorries. If the silo vehicle should be filled with water for unloading, the ground has to be suitable for the additional load.
For hydraulic filling, a water pressure of 3 to 5 bar is required.
As the unloading sites are often in water pollution control zones, fuels and lubricants as well as the hydraulic oil should be biodegradable.
Modern silo trucks have electric hydraulic pumps and noise-insulated compressors.
