Akdolit® HYDROLIT-MG is a spheroidal filter material consisting of magnesium compounds (MgO * Mg(OH)2) and successfully used in the potable water treatment. Akdolit® HYDROLIT-MG meets the requirements of the Drinking Water Ordinance and DIN 2000 (Germany). To mention only a few water treatment cases, Akdolit® HYDROLIT-MG is employed for the neutralisation of :
- sulphuric acid (H2SO4)
- hydrochloric acid (HCl)
- nitric acid (HNO3)
- acetic acid (CH3COOH)
in open and closed systems in the flow.
his may be the neutralisation of acidic ion exchanger regeneration sewage or of acidic industrial sewage low in heavy metals, or of acidic combustion condensates.
If the required quantity depending on the type of acid, the concentration of the acid and the grain size are taken into account, the potable water neutralisation can take place automatically in the flow until the pH value required for the discharge into the sewer system or the receiving water is reached.
